The last several weeks have brought a lot of travel as we made our way around to visit the most prominent natural farmers in East Asia for the “Final Straw” documentary.
Due to the limited budget, we had to travel the cheapest way possible. It wasn’t always a bad thing, but most of the travel in Japan was by overnight bus. This allows us to save money on a hotel, because well, the bus is the hotel. Not a good night sleep, by the way, but it’s what you have to do when you can’t afford the shiny fast bullet trains.

In Korea we traveled by train and bus — both dirt cheap — and for the trip between Korea and Japan, Suhee found an awesome airfare (Incheon -> Kansai) of about $50 USD on Peach Air. The flight was so new, that we were actually their first customers! Woo!
For your enjoyment — if you enjoy maps as much as I do — our 2,900 miles of travel in South Korea and Japan is mapped out below.
